Previously, the tibetan government-in-exile had asked the chinese government to reveal the whereabouts of the reincarnated soul boy of the panchen lama identified by the dalai lama. He has not been seen since he was taken away by chinese authorities 25 years ago.
On may 24, 1995, the dalai lama identified a boy ghost mannequin effect named gedhun choekyi nyima as the reincarnation of the panchen lama. The panchen lama is the second spiritual leader in tibetan buddhism after the dalai lama. The boy was 6 years old at the time. Chinese authorities asked him to be questioned three days later, and he has since disappeared from the public eye.
"The disappearance of the 11th panchen lama is not only an injustice to him personally, but also an injustice to the six million tibetans and their right to religious freedom," said a statement from the tibetan parliament in exile, located in the foothills of india's himalayas. The international community has been pressuring china to reveal information about the boy. The united states called again to ask china to disclose the whereabouts of the panchen lama.
